Petition Source Search

The Petitions Secretary records the source of each petition upon receipt. Often, the source of a petition is a well known organization of the church. In these cases the recorded source is the acronym of the organization. A list of acronyms is available. The sources are sorted in strict alphabetical order. Select a letter below to see a list of all petition sources that begin with that letter.

Please note: It can be difficult to find a specific petition by its source if you don't already know the exact source listing. The sorting is done by computer according to the ASCII sequence of characters. The sorted order is different from sorted lists of petitions in previous quadrenia in the following ways: Lowercase letters sort after uppercase letters. Last names are usually stored first for individuals, but local church organizations don't always follow a particular pattern. Sources which begin with punctuation (such as a double quote) or numbers are listed in the "Non-Alphabetical" section. Searching by Keyword may be a better option.
