Text of: 1178-68

The Committee recommends concurrence as amended as follows:

Add the following to the end of 68D:

The state should not prohibit the free exercise of organized, voluntary prayer in public schools or at other public occasions. It is vital that we not misinterpret the rightful separation of church and state as the abolition of all religious expression from public view.
