1996 Discipline ¶ 2003

2003. Membership--The total membership of the commission shall be forty-three (43), composed of:

a) Two bishops appointed by the Council of Bishops.

        b) Twenty-seven (27) persons elected by the jurisdictions from the annual conference nominations, based on the following formula: North Central--5, Northeastern--7, South Central--6, Southeastern--6, and Western--3. It is recommended that persons elected by each jurisdiction include persons from each ethnic group--Asian American, African American, Hispanic American, Native American, and Pacific Islanders. At least two shall be women, and at least one under the age of thirty.

c) Thirteen (13) additional members to be elected by the commission. One member shall be elected by Iglesia Metodista Autónoma Afiliada de Puerto Rico. It is recommended that of the additional members, at least two members shall be elected from each of the five racial and ethnic groups (Asian American, African American, Hispanic American, Native American, and Pacific Islanders). There shall be two young adults between the ages of nineteen and thirty and two youth under nineteen.59
