WORK AND CARE OF PROBATIONARY MEMBERS AND DEACONS

ś 1424. The Division of Ordained Ministry shall be responsible for the work that relates to persons preparing for probationary membership, persons serving as probationary members and preparing for ordination as deacons, persons certified in various specialized ministries for which an agency of the Church has set professional standards, and persons currently serving in professional ministerial careers. The division shall also be responsible for the work related to persons preparing for and serving as diaconal ministers, and it will exercise this responsibility under the provisions of the 1992 Book of Discipline.
