1996 Discipline ¶ 1114

¶ 1114. Devotional Life Responsibilities of The Upper Room--1. To interpret and communicate the biblical and theological basis for the devotional life, which takes seriously both personal and corporate worship and Christian involvement in the world.

2. To develop literature and programs for the cultivation of the devotional life.

3. To maintain and extend the worldwide ministry of The Upper Room and other publications, including other language editions, with continuing focus upon our ecumenical stance.

4. To cooperate with all other units within the board and other groups within United Methodism, as well as other denominations whose programs are related to the devotional life.
