1996 Discipline ¶ 1110

¶ 1110. Evangelism--The board shall have general oversight of the evangelism ministries of the Church as directed by the General Conference. Evangelism is central to the mission of the Church. Evangelism is defined in the Book of Discipline, ¶ 629.1.

The board shall share the blessing of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with all persons by the development, promotion, and support of all phases of evangelism throughout The United Methodist Church.
