1996 Book of Discipline: Paragraph 826| General Conference 2000

¶ 826. The treasurer of the General Council on Finance and Administration shall remit monthly to each effective bishop one twelfth of the annual salary as determined by the General Conference, and office expenses as approved by the council, less such deductions or reductions from the salary or office expense allowance as each bishop may authorize. Allowances for retired bishops and for the surviving spouses and minor children of deceased bishops shall be paid in equal monthly installments.
