TRANSFER AND TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP

¶ 236. Membership in a local church may be terminated by death, transfer, withdrawal, expulsion, or action of the charge conference. It shall be the duty of the pastor of the charge or of the membership secretary to keep an accurate record of all terminations of membership and to report to each charge conference the names of all persons whose membership has been terminated since the conference preceding, in each instance indicating the reason for such termination.
